OH Russell T Davis KNOWS his fanbase.

Martha: *flirts with Shakespeare*

Doctor:  Come on, come on - hurry up, time to flirt later

Shakepeare: Is that a promise, Doctor?

Doctor. Oh dear oh dear. 57 academics just punched the air...

BWAHAHAHAHA!

And that longing look just before he said that....clearly there needs to be fic about what the Doctor got up to with Will. :)

I did video it. Am still grinning - that line was one of the best, but also? The Doctor not dropping any hints about Deathly Hallows! And using Expelliarmus at the end to reverse the 'spell' - that completely cracked me up.

I was laughing so hard! One of the Wittiest episodes ever, I think. (probably because it was mainly Doctor and Will and not annoying companion....)

Did that really happen?
I'm a hapless yank on the wrong side of the pond to see the episode (though I've been a lifelong Whovian)...

Details, woman!

Is this too spoilery?

What, the flirting? or the Expelliarmus? Both. *g*

Lines about flirting as quoted above, really truly. The Expelliarmus got shoved in, suggested by Martha, as an approximate rhyme for Will Shakespeare to reverse a 'spell' that had been cast to bring in some nasty aliens.

It was WONDERFUL. And Shakespeare was hot.

And there was mention of Harry Potter too. A lot.

Oh God Yes.

What annoys me though is that the Doctor is shown to be so interested in their compassion and Tennant (in the "Confidential" tonight) said how the doctor is tender - and bloody hell - no-one seems to remember Hartnell who was a bastard!!

*is old*

The Fourth Doctor was a bit snotty in his first few episodes. So much so that I felt like getting the people who whined about *Colin* Baker's Doctor being nasty, and forcing them to watch "Robot" three times in rapid succession.

We have first season of New Who starting here on PBS next week, so I will finally get to see the goodness that is Doctor/Jack.

My husband missed it.

I squealed.

My eight year old daughter asked what he meant.
