LOVED IT.

Past midnight. Too tired to squee any more than that. Will give incoherent thoughts and spoilery review tomorrow.

I love Jack. *drags him to bed*

Glad you loved it. I loved parts of it, was sort of neutral on other parts. I didn't love it near as much as the first one - that's still my favorite. Barbossa was the best thing in it, imo, and I was glad Norrington redeemed himself - I was furious about how his character was treated in the last film.

My 16-yr old granddaughter and I went to the opening here in Illinois Thursday night. I thought it was way better that the second one. It doesn't really compare to the first one, which was just a fun, larky movie. I adore both Jack and Barbosa and without B the second movie blew. And Jack wasn't in either the second or the third one as much as he should have been. Some things I loved, though -- especially the extended telescope, seeing Jack's dad, Davy Jones' real face. The story was much darker and definitely more convoluted and they totally lost me with the upside-down thing. I really hated seeing Norrington's end. As for the way it all came out, I totally did not see that coming. I'd say more but I don't want to spoil it. I've always hated romance scenese stuck in the middle of life-and-death situations (like the one in MASH with Hawkeye and Hotlips. So I roared at the send-up in this film; it was the mother of all life-and-death romance scenes and I loved it.

There's talk that there might be a 4th one, without Will & Elizabeth. OK by me, just so Jack and Barbosa are in it.

Belated hi to everybody. I haven't been on in a long time.

I don't get around to checking very often. If anybody's read The Phoenix, would you just email me and I'll log on and see what's up with that.

Avast, me hearties. Barbosa rules.
