Words yesterday 511, day before that 1352. The stupid story is up to 13k and not even a SNIFF of a snog yet. And there was me moaning on a review the other day that there was too much yak and no enough action. The trouble is that Dear Geoffrey uses 400 words when modern people use 20. However there will be sex. There will. *frowns at Geoff* enolabloodygay says he's never going to shut up long enough for a shag but hopes that gags aren't going to be used.

Subsequent to that I invented possibly the world first Regency "I say" gag.

Two New Reviews for Standish

1) Uniquely Pleasurable rated it 6/10 and wasn't too keen on the deliberate serial feel and cliffhanger technique, (although admitting what they didn't like, others would love) plus they didn't like EITHER main character (which isn't a good sign!) so I don't blame the fact they didn't rate it highly - however they DID appreciate the character development and the resolutions: "We see the two main characters grow and change, and there are resolutions of past issues and injustices which feel right and satisfying. There's a good deal of romantic and erotic sexual description which will appeal to many readers of this genre, and the plot is not shunted aside to fit it in." Which is fair comment, considering.

2) Night Owl Romance Rated it 5/5 "A lifetime keeper" "Epic is the right word for this.... I enjoyed very much seeing the Regency novel's fair and innocent heroine as a man."

Both reviewers comment on the pace, and that's something I'll take into consideration in the future, that's for sure.

I only had about five entries for the Joyfully Reviewed competition, so everyone looks set to get something nice! Whee!
