Except they've made it clear it's only images that they are banning. They are not going after fanfic or erotic text. If you can name a single author who's even had a warning over such material, I'll be amazed. I'm getting rather tired of people claiming they're banning text when they have not done that and won't.

The images get them into huge legal trouble, and sorry, that picture by Ponderosa was definitely a grey area - I'm glad they recognise that too, but any reasonable person could interpret Harry as under 18 in that. They've said that's their hard line.

I do. Because they will have had thousands of reports - thy've actually said they have - and have not banned anyone on the strength of it. And a piece of underage graphically sexual fanfic was specifically reported to Abuse by the author herself under a sock and it was ruled okay. You are not going to get any company saying that fanfic is explicitly fine because (a) there will always be an exception, and (b) fanfic is in a grey area legally and they can't be seen to be overtly supporting it when it may or may not be a copyright violation. People demanding black and white answers are just not going to get it.

Hey, I don't care. The youngest person in my stories is 20, and I don't write fanfic. I'm not worried anyway, but I don't think the Snarry people need to be either.
