Just heard from Alyson Books and my Titanic story "Lifeline" (frantic cold sex in a lifeboat) has been accepted for their "Cruising" anthology.  If you were a member of my Newsletter... you would have had a snippet, too.... Is Mean.

Very Pleased. I've made my target sales this year, theoretically - but with the Haworth problems, two of those won't count.  Higher target next year.

Also - a friend of mine in Chesterfield, UK has just announced that she asked her local library to stock STANDISH and they sent her a card today to say that they'd bought a copy and it was ready for her to pick up, they bought it specially.

Erastes hits the public library system!  This is the only book available in the UK that I know of, so do me a favour, go into your local library and demand they get you one!

Congratulations! And according to Worldcat, Standish is in 2 libraries here - in Topeka, Kansas and Santa Fe, New Mexico!

KANSAS??? dies laughing....

How peculiar!

Only two things that come from Kansas boy, Steers and Queers.

I guess the movie got that part right.

I remember when Officer & a Gentleman ran on regular broadcast TV here a number of years ago it was edited so that Louis Gossett Jr said 'Strays and Gays' instead of 'Steers and Queers. So stupid.

Frantic cold sex in a lifeboat? Sounds... hot! (Lee ducks!)

Going public? That's awesome! I often wish my public library system would stock some of the gay or erotic titles I want to read; the best they can do most of the time is get me a gay mystery or comtemporary romance via interlibrary loan.

I was wondering if you could point those of us who missed the beginning of the saga to information on Haworth's troubles.

We are still waiting to hear about the GLBT imprint - and Haworth haven't contacted me at ALL (although Ellen has regarding Superqueeroes) about the two stories I have with them.

Storm Grant's LJ is the best place for news - she keeps abreast of it all beautifully.

Congratulations, making quota means you had a plan. Go, you! Both on the story sale, and for being that organized and professional. (Course now that I'm getting to know you, I shouldn't be surprised.)

And thanks for the compliment. Some of the Haworth stuff is flocked, but they just have to friend me and I'll friend 'em back.

Thanks much, E.

I looked for Standish in our local library network, in vain. (Pouts.)

Did you know that show from the 80s? It's called "perfect strangers." you can probably find clips of them on Youtube.

Do you know when "Cruising" will be available? Your "Lifeline" is set in one of my favorite time periods. I'd love to read that. Congratulations on the sale.

This must surely be a sign of the apocalypse!

I should try this in the Liberal Minnesota library system.

Frantic sex in a Titanic lifeboat? Wow. That I have to read :) I'm still too nervous to order books through Amazon (I have no faith they would arrive here, for one thing) but I'll look into the library idea. Is the 'Cruising' anthology coming out on e-book by any chance?
