There was a film on on Armistice Day called "My Boy Jack" which featured Dan Radcliffe - and I have to say that he seems to be shaping into a decent actor. I like the way that he's actually worked at it and hasn't been sucked into his own publicity and long may he stay that way. It's probably good that he's had all the English Luvvies as role models, method actors like Thelwol and Rickman. He impressed me, he gave a good performance as a slightly stuffy repressed young man who wanted to do well. Doing diverse parts like Kipling and Equus certainly have helped him avoid the typecasting. Still, I won't be bothering with the remaining Potter films.

I'm reading Alex Beecroft's Captain's Surrender (which I was kindly sent for review) and all I can say is, that if you loved Ransom and Winds of Change by Lee Rowan, and if you have any liking at all for the sea-faring stories of Forrester and O'Brien, then you are going to eat this up WITH A SPOON. Am Loving It. Which is what should go on the cover. "Am luvvin' it. - Erastes" :)

Friday! it's Children In Need night tonight, which is a bit cheesy but I'll watch some of it, mostly for Barrowman and the Dr Who sketch they always do. A box of Wine, some bread and cheese and cats beside me purring in the house's mess, ah were paradise enow...

I was CRYING with screaming laughter (and it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud)

"Does the master still have that awful beard?"

"No. No beard at all. Oh. Yes - yes - a wife."

*erastes DIES DED.*

Ooh - just flitted in to ask whether you read slash into the lines about 'Does the master still have a beard?' 'No; well he does have a wife'.

Peter Davison is still adorable. Barrowboy is cute. I'm all happy.

Oh that was utterly deliberate and a very obvious sop to the slashers!!

So I hoped (like the whole scene between Jack-in-his-vest and Ten in the last series).

Off to bed now - Chris Paterson came on for Gloucester and seeing him after Barrowboy and Ten has finished me. *g*

Am going to flit 'twixt CIN and the rugby - potential pulchritude all round.

And mixing up your post - could we eat Barrowboy with a spoon?

Mmm, cheese.

Speaking of which, I've just discovered a new ripe gouda from Marksies, called Reypenauer (or something like that). Any way, it's cheese heaven, very rich and rounded.

LOL! Thank you! I might just take you up on that ;D

I keep trying to answer your email about it, but something dire is wrong with the server and my email is down. But the gist of it was only going to be 'squee! I'm glad you're liking it. Thank you!' anyway :D

I hope you don't mind me blogging about it. That kiss scene (the second one) is one of the best kisses I've ever read.

LOL! I'm delighted that you're blogging about liking it! If you hated it, I might not be so overjoyed ;D

Is that the scene in the spirit room? Wow, I'm amazed! And very pleased :) It's very tame compared to most of the things I've read, and I worried that it was over-thinky.
