Gah. So bloomin' busy at work, it's just not funny.

BUT! Wonderful news today - I've got a shiny new website. Thank you thank you thank you to the designer who modestly said "pshaw all I did was edit the template" but to ME this kind of work is like ... necromancy. I don't understand it and I don't suppose I ever will. It's doubly good of her actually because she created it all in Joomla and I had a panic attack because I just didn't understand Joomla at ALL so she redid the whole thing in Wordpress just because I am a moron with the technical capabilities of a dead flea. *smooshes her*

BUT ISN'T IT PRETTY!!!!!! There's still some work to do putting up older posts and formatting the writing snippets, but t'is nearly done.

Just a note, you might need to amend your bookmarks just now, until the index page of www.erastes.com page has been sorted out. Also many thanks to Paul Benincasa for the lubbly drawing.

The *only* problem with the website is that it doesn't work properly with Firefox, or in the very least not with certain screen configs. I've got the lovely image taking up half the text on every page. e.e

Yes, it does seem to be a problem with firefox, I'll see what the designer says. Hopefully the picture can be moved over..

It shouldn't be that hard of a fix, I think she just needs to make the picture not be floating, or in the very least make sure it's not allowed to overlap the rest of the design. :3 I think it's a pretty quick fix, in fact - if I've got time I'll see if I can't find where Firefox is getting a code munch and shoot it to you for your designer.

Ooh, like it!! I only tired a couple of pages but my firefox seems to be ok with it, just a bit slow.

It's really smart though and yes, definitely magic is worked by these webby people!

Now that's weird, why is it working on your firefox?

I'll try again to see if it was a one-off. Maybe my Firefox is odd, wouldn't surprise me.

Gorgeous website! Interesting and fun. I'm with you, trying to design webpages is a matter of picking a theme from a menu and hoping there's a good one. lol

Lovely!

I don't know if it's Firefox in general or Mac's Firefox, but when I view it with FF, the picture covers the text. It works fine in Safari, though.

Oh that's odd. I have Firefox too, and it's fine for me. I like it a lot, infact :) Plain and simple and elegant, rather than the bells and whistles stuff you so often see which makes it difficult to find the content.

Squee! Thank you for the link! Can I be really annoying though and say that my site is on http://www.alexbeecroft.com/Adventure_and_Romance.shtml
The cascading style sheets don't work with the .html address, which means I don't get the navbar with that one. I've taken it down and replaced it with a redirection page for now, though, so there's no hurry :) Thank you!

Do you have a banner that I can put in my links page in return?

the designer fixed it in two seconds flat! she's a genius.

Ok - will change. And i have no idea what a CSS is, even if it bit me on the nose.

*g* I wouldn't know either, but I'm married to a software designer, so I get told these things :)

Would you like a banner? I bet I could make one to match.

I LOVE it! So minimalist. Wordpress you say? Hmm. Dunno what to do with my WP blog: may as well tweak templates. Which template did she use?

Oooh! Your website is totally shiny!

I was going to ask - what do you know of the UK's Erotic Review? I saw them asking for submissions a while back and considered sending something in - but I'm not really sure exactly what they publish, or if they're any good?

*loves*
