I don't like the adult thingy because I have to click a link to read my friends instead of just scrolling down the page. I barely have time to read LJ as it is. Adding extra steps is not a good thing.

I wonder if it'll change if I make my LJ adult? Don't have time to play with it this morning...

Okay, I switched it away from adult/adult concepts back to no adult content (or whatever it was) I wasn't sure what all needed switching, so I may have switched too much or not enough - just let me know if I need to do anything else.

Yes, and someone else had a good point, that I don't (specially when in a hurry) always click on LJ cuts and if people have them I'm less likely to read them.

I marked certain entries as "Adult Content" or whatnot, but my journal as a whole is "No Adult Content," so you should be able to see it no problem.

I think that's the way to go for most people--just mark individual entries on a case by case basis.

If you have your birthdate (and it can be a competely FAKE one) on LJ and that makes you 18 you see every content just like you used to and no problems. (but don't get me started on how much I loathe this pathetic panic making fundie-behaviour of LJ)

I do have my birthdate, but it's just not visible - I'll change it and see what happens. However it wouldn't let me see it at work because of the "adult" tag - just came up with "site restricted"
