Mad idea.

Considering that it will probably never get published, never get looked up, never get picked up - whatever.

I think the world needs some lovely gay/slashy/homoerotic poetry. Is there any?

I have a fair selection of sonnets that I can convert from fanfic, and a couple of other pieces that would transcribe into poetry pretty easily, and they range from loving to mildly smutty.

I have people on my flist who i KNOW can write poetry, from free verse to sonnets to various other forms I've never heard of.

So what about it? What have we got to lose? I'm quite happy to do the work, here - collate, edit whatever and then start touting it around. As I say, it may do nothing, so you are taking a risk - but then again, it might sell and ...

let me know if anyone's interested.

I tell you what irritates me is that I fielded an idea to Alyson recently about putting together an anthology of masturbation, and I planned to drag in fanartists to do original pieces so it would have been a mixture of words and art and they turned me down (politely) and NOW what's on the top of the gay lists? Only a wank anthology... that's what!! And not mine!

Happy birthday [livejournal.com profile] angelstgabriel *kisses*

I'm going to have to pull a story from Clean Sheets. They accepted it MONTHS ago - can;t even find when - must be well over six months. They said it would go live in three. I emailed them after four and they said it would be a week or so - and since then, nothing. No story, no money, no email, no contact, nada.

So I'm going to try and resell it. bah.

Can I add my website email (erastes at erastes dot com) to my outlook express? I'm sure it must be simple, if i know my password (which I do) my log in (check) and my stmp and pop3 (which I don't) where would I get them from - my webhost? eta Sorted! Thanks [livejournal.com profile] eledhwenlin!!

I've just finished chapter 9 of Junction X and they just kissed. *sigh*

I've just been told that Standish has been nominated on the Editors and Preditors poll, which has surprised me. I'm very happy, so thank you whoever nominated me.

It's a bit like fandom awards by the look of it, anyone can be nominated and anyone can vote, so I dare say the popular kids will win, BUT if you have read Standish and enjoyed it, I'd be very grateful if you will go and vote.

HERE

Secondly, I'm starting a campaign to get Standish available in book form in the UK (other than Amazon). There's a good reason for this My best Real Life friend is the Gay Books Reviewer in Time Out. What! I hear you say - with a contact like that you should get all the publicity you like. However it doesnt work like that. She can't review it unless it's available in hard copy form in bookshops. Stupid, I know....

So.

Please. If you bought your copy from AMAZON.CO.UK - AND - you genuinely enjoyed it - would you kindly go and leave a review on amazon.co.uk. This is not for my ego - but Ms Godfrey from Time Out says that if the book has a few reviews she can write to the distributor (who she knows well) that it's a book that they should seriously consider stocking....

And then once it's available in shops - she can review it!

Thank you kindly!
