If you are at all a fan of historical fiction, then I strongly encourage you to read Muffled Drum. Erastes is a very skilled, talented author who brings the era she writes about to three-dimensional life. She gives her readers rich, realistic detail, believable characters, and undeniable emotion. Her novels will pull you in, surround you, and keep you fully involved until the very end. And while she doesn’t offer a sticky-sweet, idyllic conclusion, she nevertheless gives us a happy ending that is warm and satisfying. I’m very impressed with this author, and I think that if you were to read her writing, you would be as well.
