Well, just got back from Indiana Jones - enjoyed it, but not as hugely as I thought I would do. Had no impulse to rush back and see it again, his son wasn't HALF hot enough - I mean, Ick - but it was nice to see him back in action. I wonder if he uses the same stunt man as he used to?  It was a bit rushed, actually - I wouldn't have minded an extra half an hour because I didn't really follow the reasoning behind the trail and the map etc etc.

I'm sitting here sobbing quietly because I've finished the Farseer/Tawny Man trilogies and am behaving like a spoiled child. DON'T WANT him to end up with Molly. Don't want!! He didn't even get to say goodbye to the Fool. Stamp stamp stamp! *sob*

*shuts eyes at second part of your post* Without spoiling me, do you still recommend them? Not sure what to make of your stamping and sobbing. *g*

Yeah, what was with Indy jr? Although his constant hair-combing was fairly amusing.

I wanted time to try and work out all the riddles/maps myself, so that bothered me, too. Whatever happened to making the viewer do a bit of work?

It was enjoyable enough! Although as we said when we came out, maybe it'd have been better if we were still ten...

Oh I highly recommend them. I want to buy them now and read them slowly because I raced through them like a maniac so I can savour the earlier parts in relation to what I know happens in the later books.

When the first trilogy ended, she ended it in such a way that she could have left them there, or continued them and she's (to my eyes at least) done the same with the second set. I'd personally be gutted if she left it there, as there's still so very much to be resolved.

I was thinking that FitzChivalry had the possibility of being a big fat Mary-Sue, but Hobb keeps him down (sometimes a little too much to be fair to him) and he never solves his problems easily or painlessly.

Just checked her website and she says that there won't be any more (probably) of Fitz and the Fool and that's a shame but I'll just have to lump it. I'll be interested to hear if your thoughts echo mine.

Yeah I was a total mess after reading those as well.

Luckily I'll be watching Indy for Indy not for some callow youth.
