Rainbow Reviews have reviewed Speak Its Name and thought it was "Great" This is part of what the reviewer had to say about Hard & Fast:

The first-person narrative really heightens the feeling of Geoffrey’s confusion with Heyward because we’re offered no other perspective than Geoffrey’s. Heyward is just as hard to figure out for the reader as he is for Geoffrey. At times, his exasperation and his resignation are very intense and this is one of the story’s strong points. Erastes can express her character’s emotions without turning them into meaningless jumble or resorting to over the top angst.

“Hard and Fast” sets a good pace and is an excellent story… and is one of my favorites of the bunch. It’s worth reading alone for Geoffrey’s addictive narrative voice

She liked his voice - which is a great relief as it was a bit of a gamble.  She didn't like the ending though, never mind!  :D

Second Life. What's the fuss about?

I thought I would push my broadband to the limit and actually activate the Second Life account that I created about a year ago but my PC is not really up to it.

I can play for a little while, actually got to the main World, but after about 15 minutes it all slows down. I need a memory boost.  Plus can I say confusing, much?  I don't really "get it" - I'm sure there's lots to do, or so I've been told but I can't find much to do at the moment.  I've been chatted up once by some random guy who thought my avatar was a girl (It's a Lucius Malfoy look-alikee but a little more willowy) and seemed to lose interest in me when I said he was male.  If anyone's in there, my Avatar is Erastes Sands so look me up sometime *waggles blond eyebrows* because at the moment he's a little bored. Flying is all very well!!!

As someone who research SL in an educational context, this is the only reason why SL *might* have (and yes, I think it does in certain subjects, especially when looking at notions of Papert's Constructionism and the social constructivist perspective) uses:

I tried it as well, at the encouragement of a friend who then discovered that her computer couldn't handle the graphics. My poor little chap was hit on immediately, before he was even dressed, by a 'female' avatar who invited him in almost unintelligible l33t-speak to partake of sexual congress. Possibly she was confused by his arm being stuck up above his head.

Playing with his face - seeing how far I could distort it - seeing if I could make him look like various celebrities - was the most fun I had in SL. I abandoned him on a park bench.

However, I may go and look up Erastes Sands because a willowy Lucius Malfoy lookalike is something I would very much like to see.

*laughs* at the thought of your chap sitting forlornly on a bench for ever!

I'm stuck in a place called "pug" at the moment and have no clue what to do next. He's probably a bit pretty for Lucius, but his hair is nice

:D

Look me up, I promise not to jump on you. Not unless you put your hand above your head again.
