I loved it! Better than Indiana Jones, better than the Mummy 2 (that's for sure) - the car chase with the golem horses? Possibly one of the best action sequences I've seen - ever? There were bits when I was sitting there thinking "I know this is mostly CGI but hot-dayum!" Jet Li was fabulous as usual, and great to see so many kick-ass women characters. So much nicer to see than the wilting Wilheminas like Pepper wosserface and Mary Jane.

Loved it loved it. Of course a complete dog's dinner of the actual story of the first emperor, but who goes to these films to be educated?

*g* I loved it too. It's nice to have a film where the heroes don't stop being heroes after they've got married and had a family. Normally that's the 'and then they lived happily ever after' point, which is a shame really. Also yes, so many good female characters that I didn't care that the men were all ugly. But as Andrew said, it's a bit of a turn up when the CGI tomb is less spectacular than the real thing.

Also I was rooting for the mummy throughout - *again*.

I was wibbling onto to gehayi earlier about the tomb - I admit that I'm absolutely GAGGING to know what's in there, but I don't know if they will ever open it in my lifetime, got to be the archaeological excitement of the millennium. and yes - it really underplayed the size and scope of the tomb site, didn't it?

I liked the whole married thing - just as I loved Wash and Zoe in Serenity, it's amazingly rare how often married people are represented in action/fiction. (although, Bella and Edward could have been missed out COMPLETELY thank you) - even Lucius is rarely seen with his wife (and annoyingly never onpage with Severus). Would it have killed her to pander to the ficcers just once with them? She did it with others!

I'm glad to hear you liked it -- I've been on the fence as to whether or not I plan to see it, as I really enjoyed the first one and didn't mind the second one (though I've been in no hurry to rewatch it). Good to see it's worthwhile.

Hmmm. That might be something to go and see this weekend then! (Especially with Jet Li as well!)
