A bit bettter.

Yesterday was awful. The psoriasis is lessening every day but because of the ear infection the dizzyness hit its worst - I couldn't even stand up at one point and was crawling around the house on my hands and knees. Not pleasant and humiliating. Later when I was able to walk I was clutching the walls for support. And no, before you ask - nothing to do with alcohol!

And to make matters worse, Lucius (who decided to come back after a day) has stopped eating and yesterday I was completely unable to take him to the vet. Do you know how bad a human I felt, lying in bed watching him just lying there, not eating or drinking all day?  I managed to get him to drink a couple of teaspoons of water out of my palm by the end of the day, but he hasn't got up this morning at all.  Cats always pick the worse time to be ill, as today is the only day that the vet insists on appointments (normally you can just turn up) so they can't see me until 4pm. That's good for me, as the dizzyness is still present and it will take an hour or so for me to get my arse into gear and get washed and dressed, but not so good for him. I hope I can get some more water into him. Stupid cat!! Why couldn't he be ill in his other family's house?

Oh, you poor thing! I have psoriasis (on my palms and soles) and yeah, it sucks. That you have an ear infection on top of everything else is simply awful... :(

Maybe Lucius came back because he was already feeling a bit off-colour and knew you would do something about it and help him, and that his 'other family' wouldn't?

Ear infections aren't fun. I've only had (I think) one, and it was horrible - felt as though things were sloshing around inside and making me wobble with them. Take great care on the way to the vet!

What a stupid design flaw, putting the balance into the EAR!!!! You;d think that it would be in something like the stomach where it was less likely to have problems.

Oh no! That all sounds just awful. Poor Lucius, poor you. I hope he'll be alright and that you'll feel better soon. A miracle immediate cure for the two of you!

Thank you. Not nice.I really hoped the dizzy would be gone today. Next time i am not going to be so stoic, and I'm running straight to the doctors. Sod this "curing naturally" business!

Oh man, ear infections are the WORST! (Though I didn't get the dizzy with mine, just pain. Horrible pain.) Sorry that you're having that when Lucius is ill.

The last time Jackson was sick, the vet had me try to treat him at home first to see if he'd improve. They told me to give him Pedialyte (of all things) to keep him hydrated, every ten minutes for an hour, then off for an hour. He had a fever, too, so I had cold compresses on his tummy to bring his temp. down. It actually worked quite well.

I hope he gets better!

I'm still giddy - shouldn't really have driven but got there and back ok. Vet gave him a couple of jabs and i'm to take him back on Friday if there's no improvement. hope he's better tomorrow...

I can SO empathize. I got knocked flat on my back by vertigo last year. Just lifting my head made me so dizzy that I would become nauseaous. The doctor recommended medication for motion sickness, and it worked wonders.

I hope that both you and Lucius are feeling well soon. Psoriasis sounds awful. :( Can you take bicarbonate of soda baths for that, or is that just for chicken pox?
