Did it snow last night? YES!

Is snowing now? YES!

Is it settling? YES YES YES!!

Is Erastes happy? Hooo yeah!

Still a little wobbly if I don't concentrate, but better a little everyday. Tomorrow I'm going to sit down and start something new - set myself a small word count and stick to it.

SNOW FTW.

Always.

And yay word count, always. You make a thing that wasn't there before and 250 words later, there's a page. And another. And where there was void, you've made a form.

and every winter, you get snow, making everything shiny and new.

Yes to the page and the form, no to the snow, I'm afraid. Not every winter, not up here. :-) Sadly!!!

Snow is not an absolute, nor always a good thing. This is true.

But it does make pretty when it manages to sprinkle and dust everything new and white.

Severus is sitting making silly noises at the birds and Age of Innocence is on in an hour. I have sorbet and Lucius is better. And there is snow. Sundays don't get much better than that!

And yes. If I'd started seriously when I was sacked I'd have a book by now instead of nothing, but if I don't start I'll never have one!

*g* I'm glad you're feeling a bit better, and even up to starting to write - that takes a fair amount of energy in itself.

Heh, we had snow here for half an hour, just long enough for it to settle, mix with the rain we're having now and become slippery grey slush :) But I like my new covers, so I'm happy too.

I've got to that "itchy" stage where I NEED to be writing something-and last week was horrible because I wanted to be writing but could hardly sit upright for an hour at a time.

Glad your dizziness is better!

We had snow at 3 AM - it was glorious. I went outside (couldn't sleep with the sore throat) and just enjoyed the smell. This is what home-home is like for me in winter: snow snow snow and ice and ice cold, but it's all gone now. That's home for me, where it melts again, but then we have glorious sunshine for now, so all is not lost.

nearly better at least. Still wobbly and I have to be careful of my footing.

I've always had a love affair with snow (eee! there's a Robin on the birdtable and I don't have a camera!)

You want snow? I'll give you snow. Here. Have an entire country-full. Somehow the excitement pales after a while... although the dogs seem to like it. ;-)

Glad you're feeling better.

I think if I lived somewhere where there was snow a lot I'd definitely have a dogsled. It's one of my biggest ambitions.

You won't get a dogsled in downtown Toronto (city of 5 million people if you factor in the surrounding bedroom communities--and big on the greenhouse effect). However, about a hour north of here is a "snow belt", an area that does get a lot of snow. Dangerous driving; I had to cancel plans to meet up today with an author friend who lives up there.

Come for a visit. Come in February. Bwahaha! There'll be a free room at chez Grant since I like to go to Mexico then. ;- Better yet, meet me in Mexico.

Snooooow! I am happy for you, but rather jealous since we just had nasty rain this morning. But at least it's sunny now.

Yes, we have no sun, but I can live with that!

You can have all of my snow and ice for the winter. Really. I do not want to go skating down the hill that is my driveway this winter. Snow is not walker-friendly.

It's not ear-infection friendly either - I wobbled like a weeble getting out to the car.. :(

Ours won't be staying, sadly, but it's nice to see it - although it's blooming early!

We'd got a tiny bit of snow on the ground when I got up this morning, then by about 8.30 when I'd got dressed and got my specs on, it started snowing great big flakes and looked like it was going to settle, so I made a flask of boiling water for coffee and packed warm stuff (on my way down to Gravesend to have a crafting day with friends) - and then it all turned to rain instead. Boo.

I am terribly jealous. Consumed by jealousy in fact. We got a light dusting of token snow like a half-hearted carpet of dandruff that melted away with the dawn. Tragically disappointing since I spend the entire year dreaming of snow like a crisp blanket over the earth. I really am living in the wrong place in Sussex.
*sigh*

When my parents lived here 20 years ago they were snowed in every year, so it just shows how things have changed. It got quite deep but has all melted away now.
