Date: 2008-12-18 10:31 am (UTC)Yes, I want snow too. A lasting white winter of thick huddled coats, roaring fires and ice parties on frozen rivers. I want to exhale white breath against white ground and hunt for the warm places and cocoa moments when I come inside again.

Date: 2008-12-18 11:00 pm (UTC)Ours was just a snowfall in the evening that lasted long enough for all of us to go outside and lift our faces and hold out our hands. By morning, there was no sign it had ever snowed.
Four years ago, we had a dusting of snow that lasted a day or two.
When I lived in Austin twenty-three years ago (3 hr drive further north than I am now) we had a good deep snow, once. I think it lasted a week or so. I remember how beautiful it was in the old neighborhood where we lived, on a street with little bungalows and big oaks and old-fashioned sidewalks.
I hope you get snow!
