Ooooh, that's a beautiful picture! What a lovely cover. Kudos on the anthology getting great reviews - it's so heartening to know that there are still people in the world who enjoy good literature! :)

Isn't it? It's so rare to have a dedicated piece of art for a book for a small press, and particularly to actually illustrate something from the book. David (one of the characters) would be complaining about the lack of gloves, but I think that it's important to show the handhold - it gives it a sense of intimacy and the peril that they are fleeing from.

Anne did a marvelous job with the cover. I asked her for the boys holding hands as they fled, and she really captured the emotions involved.

Yay! I'm so glad that Thaw is getting a re-print - I really liked it, and would have recommended it to people if it hadn't been for the trouble with Iris. Maybe this time it'll make it into mainstream bookshops?

Also glad that A Strong and Sudden Thaw has found a home at Lethe Press. I read it a year ago and have been holding off reviewing it until it found a good home, but the story stands out strongly in my memory (and that's saying something with a memory like mine). Nice cover with Callan's hair changed to blond! Now it looks just right for the story.
