Here you go!  Have to say, I'm a bit happy with it, yes, it's short, but I think trailers should be short. Oh - and it's very work safe, btw.

Enjoy! This is an upbeat one, I'm planning another one which will be much much darker. Bwahaha.

Thank you! They've done a really good job, I think.

Thank you - it's Requiem, although I have found this site today, with some authentic 17th century fonts - so I'll use that for the next one.

I can't see it at work, but will check it out when I get home. I just love Trans so much, can't wait to get my copy!

I hope you'll really like the edited, improved version. Of course you'll be getting a signed copy, so don't buy one! (unless it's a box full to give out to all your SCA chums)

I've already preordered one from Amazon - I will give it as a gift, or keep it for a spare in case I wear one out. Seriously, I really loved that story.

I have to say I envy you now because there aren't many appropriate AoS pictures on that Mayhem site, and I'm still awaiting a reply on whether I can use the HMS ones. Maybe I'll do a second version with pictures I know are available, just in case.

Yeah, well, *mumbles* I just went ahead - I figured I'd apologise if anyone complained and seeing as how Frost Fair was only viewed about 400 times, it's hardly Global marketing.

I must say, the thought of incorporating one or two shots from M&C or PotC is very very tempting!

I think someone is less likely to complain about that than using photos from private sites.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get the movie out of the DVD and onto the computer in a file I can use, mind you. Is there some kind of special software for it?

In the mean time, I've done a completely above-board, all photos mine or paid for version, because Melissa asked me to send it to her, and I don't dare send her anything that isn't kosher :)

I don't think that's possible without specialist software or piracy would be a lot easier. Try seeking out the clip you want on Youtube, that's what I did.

I haven't heard from Melissa regarding a trailer - I wont be able to provide one if she does, really. *glum*

Oh, good point! Youtube hadn't occurred to me. I've never tried dealing with actual moving pictures before.

I found some English Civil war photos on iStock.com but the Mayhem ones were much better - cheaper too :) The best stock ones I've found are on site:www.worldofstock.com English civil war stock images but they are way too expensive. istock has some, if you search under 'reenactment:history' but not many. It is so frustrating! Even the stuff we can't afford isn't really good enough.

Thank you! I wanted the army to appear immediately on the stronger section and didn't quite make it - but I'm learning! Movie Maker is a good little programme!

Gorgeous! Requiem is one of my favorite fonts, and it looks beautiful in this. The only thing--and it may just be my computer/connection--is that the text, "A Country on the Brink of Civil War," goes by a little too fast (I felt rushed by it and then hurried myself through the next couple of text cards, until I realized I could take my time. That's a minor thing, though, and it's probably just me. :)

Yes, I realised that too - I might alter it - thanks! I love Requiem - I found some lovely 17th century typeset fonts too, see above!
