Because I've been reading sleveen's gangster novel (and it's so GOOD) I'm immersed in noir gangster life at the moment. I'm talking like Edward G Robinson and slapping dolls around. My Mafia name is Luca Leatherface which is entirely unfair.

And sleveen is EVIL. EVIL!! I can't tell you what paroxyms I've been through reading this. God this book has to get published, if there's any justice. Imagine the sexiest gangster you can - I personally love Cagney and young Clark Gable then rub 'em together and you've got this book. But not missing out any of the tropes of the era.

It's good, see? Tell 'em Luca Leatherface sent yer. Yeah.

i LOVED FUTZ even though i didn't know of the fandom before i read it.

Depression era gangsters are sexiest, because the tommy guns and the suits. Yakuza are fatally delicious because of the tattoos and their strict honor code. I love the 80's Italian-American mafia [it's why I wrote Roulette]. Those flashy suits and goombah oversteps!

But there's always going to be a place in my heart for my own kind [Mafiya] Russians, Poles, Slovaks - I love these gangsters best of all. :)

I got Guiseppe Romano, which seemed odd until I realized you had to click the radial button for female, so I did it again and I'm Natalia Romano, which doesn't sound very mafiosi. More like an actress in a spaghetti western.
