Murder He Rewrote
Apr. 2nd, 2009 02:15 pmYes, it’s derivative, but I’m LOVING “Castle”—I don’t think that Nathan Fillion is bad in anything I’ve ever seen him in, and while he’s not exactly a “character actor” he’s a damned good actor all the same. I love the set up, I adore his mother. *adores adores adores* – she’s what I want to be when I grow up. (shut up) I also like that – Unlike Jessica Fletcher, Castle doesn’t make the police look like idiots all the time. *smooshes it*
My radio interview has been cancelled—the journo has lost his job at the paper (I think, it was early, and the line wasn’t very clear) but he has kept his job at the radio, but he needs to reschedule. I’m hoping this is the truth and not the owners thinking that gay romance isn’t suitable for their station. Well, we’ll see in a couple of weeks!
I posted a discussion this morning about historical fiction on The Macaronis which riffs off a post I read this morning on Reading the Past and whether historical fiction needs by definition to have real historical characters and or be based around real historical events. Hmmm. Discuss.
