Thanks to Alex, just discovered that Transgressions is available at Tescos online.  I doubt it will be available actually in the SHOP itself (although how cool would that be?) but just having it available already in the UK is great. Tescos!  *laughing*

Speak its Name is available there too, if you’ve been putting off buying it from the USA

I watched The Searchers this afternoon. There were two very odd things about it that I noticed, with the slash goggles on. It’s a film I haven’t seen since before I had the SG welded to my head.

1. John Wayne pulled up Jeffrey Hunter’s blanket when he went to bed and patted his bottom. Hunter complained about this odd behaviour. As well he might.

2. A handsome young cavalry officer arrived with some news and Wayne asked him to turn around - then said "yep, he's a cavalry officer all right."

just .... disturbing, finding slash in a movie that you think it hugely macho.

Have a look at the Amazon Gay Romance bestsellers.  Eleven out of the top 25 are historicals. Hurrah!  No market for it though. No no no no no no…..

We're in Tesco's. Clubcard points are us.

Jeffrey Hunter has always struck me as slashy.

Tesco's! Ahahahahahaha! That's awesome! I wonder if they'll have it at WalMart here in the States one of these days....

I'm not absolutely certain, because I don't like to ask the publisher things but I think yes, they are - definitely bookshops first though. Watch your B&N and Borders.

He's certainly pretty, and spends an inordinate amount of time with his clothes off in that film.

Congratulations!

Heh, those slash-goggles are fun, aren't they? I can see slash anywhere nowadays, from The Odd Couple to washing powder adverts.

I'll tell you a secret, if you promise not to tell anyone. As I've always adored Jeffrey Hunter in The Searchers, I had my cover designer lift the shirt and vest out of a frame of "The Searchers" and photoshop it onto the boy on the cover. The body you see on the cover of "The Filly" actually belongs to Jeffrey Hunter! Shhhhhh, it's a secret!

OMG!! Tesco? Next battle, when someone does the Tesco run, I'm going to ask for bread, milk, bacon - oh, and a copy of Transgressions, please.

I shall leave a copy in every beer tent across the country.

Tescos eh? Not sure how to phrase this question without it sounding negative but I wonder what brought you to their attention. I know they sell books but I'd assumed it would be main stream stuff. *takes foot out of mouth*

I note that Amazon.uk is cheaper, though, and the price allows free delivery in the UK - where I shall be from 25 April for two months+. (And if I compare their price to the US$ price, since I shall be there in July, and then look at the exchange rates for the AU$, I think it's cheaper to get it sent to my friend's place in the UK, even if I won't get to collect it until end of June.)

*giggles* I doubt they'll be in the shops themselves, but who knows?

You'd better!

I assume because they stock Perseus books, they are a mainstream publisher, after all.

Oh yes, Amazon is certainly cheaper, but some people are anti-Amazon, so it's nice to have an alternative, it's also on WH Smiths too, but at the six quid price. I've checked a few Ozzie online stores and it's available there, but it's about $17-$18AUD

He is quite gorgeous isn't he? I'd not noticed before how much time he spent with his shirt and vest OFF!
