Another agent rejection! Ho hum! “Pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and start all over again!”
All one can do is keep going.
I registered my interest in taking a stall at Birmingham Gay Pride which is next week I believe and I STILL haven’t heard back from them even as to the COST of the bloody stalls which is the most important consideration. Now there’s not enough time to get books and advertising gubbins from all of the Macaronis, so there’s very little point going. If the stall is like £100 – it’s utterly useless to go on my own. This must happen for any stallholder, you still need to get the stock in time. Grrrr. Bad organisation.
ETA: Heard from them £235!!!! more than twice what I estimated. Um. No. Maybe next year.... And I'll sell hotdogs.

Date: 2009-05-15 08:13 am (UTC)£235! That's a lot of money. Are stalls like this meant to break even/ make a profit? Or is it more that you (one) use(s) them as a visibility/ promotional tool - so that while you may lose money on the stall, you hope to recoup it later through indirect sales?
