In other news – Mrs Giggles has reviewed False Colors and Transgressions.  I haven’t been brave enough to go and look, but it appears she likes Transgressions best of all my books, which surprises me, I really thought she hate it. Score of 78/100 which is 30 more than Standish got, so yay!

Eyes are still dreadful. Couldn’t drive today, but will attempt to get out early tomorrow before it gets bad and go the chemist at Acle.

Joanne Soper Cook has written a great article on The Macaronis about Napoleon, outlining the problems with “where on earth do you start"??” when tackling a book about any part of his life, and shares a little of a new book she’s writing about him.  Yes – Napoleon was (very probably, they reckon now, bisexual at the very least…

It's a pretty nice review, all in all. She says that you have some really beautiful scenes and that it's not as melodramatic as she'd expected. Of course, being Mrs. Giggles, she does have some less complimentary things to say...

But I'm glad to see your books getting the reviews and publicity they deserve.

For goodness sake - next time this happens let me know and I'll get you some medicine and post it. (Unless it's prescription, of course, that would be complicated...)

Actually, if it's Over the counter, shall I get some anyway and post it? If you're not up to driving?

Try something like Flixonase nasal spray. I was surprised how well this worked on itchy eyes, and it doesn't give you that awful drugged feeling that some tablets do.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that's a steroid, I'd rather use more natural things! :D

I don't you very well, yet, when I saw the announcement of the Before Wilde book, I thought of you and your posts I've been reading.

I guess I have to google who Mrs Giggles is. I just read her reviews. I think she likes you, you surprised her in a good way.

Thank you! I just wish text books weren't so blooming expensive. I've asked the library to buy a copy, so we'll see if they do!
