For those of you who didn’t know – I was a huge Fenrir fangirl. I wrote the first official Fenrir fic after HBP the book came out – I had Fenrir as being terrifying, hairy but more than a little sexy – and I was thrilled to bits today when watching the Behind the Magic documentary that the directors have agreed with me. He looks like a kind of werewolfy Sean Bean.

They were interviewing the actor in his trailer and this part took me right back to fandom.  “I discovered that Tom – who plays Draco – and I have something in common…”

“SEX!!!”  I’m shouting (having done Fenrir/Draco fic)

He continues - “I tell people I’ve got a little blond in my trailer, but it’s really Tom.”

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! Yes. I’m 12.*****

I think he will make up for the lack of Lucius in this film.

Does anyone know where that still that was knocking around the net a couple of years ago was used, if ever? The one of Lucius sitting in a leather chair with a couple of dogs by his side?

****** They are playing guitar.  BAH.

I hated Fenrir.
Since Rowling seems to use lycanthrope=gay (or maybe that's just the movies) I read him as gay=pedophile.

Sorry. No love here.

But HBP was pretty good, on its own merits. Don't go in expecting the book.

Werl, actually... Dumbledore=gay, too, so don't go off all half-bent ;p

I'm seeing the movie tomorrow. Don't ruin it for me! LOL!

Thank goodness it's not like the book - which was the 2nd weakest of the series!

He definitely was creepy, but that's an aspect I liked about him - canonically I never saw him as gay but in my fanfic I did show him as such - and yes , hugely creepy - raising children as werewolves. But it was a great experience to explore a character like that and find motivations as to WHY he was like he was. In JKRs tight 3rd person view we can't be told this, but I imagined what his childhood vs the ministry must have been like - which explained to me why he hated the ministry so very much and why he was seeking revenge in the way he was - The whole Remus' father/Fenrir thing was great to explore. One day i'd like to write a book like As Meat Loves Salt, from the POV of a villain, so it was great experience.
