First of all some good news – the lovely Jenre reviewed Transgressions and loved it – couldn’t put it down in fact!  :D

Woke up horribly early with a headache. No big surprise, with the amount of stress and muggy weather that's been floating around recently. Decided to watch Entourage before I got up, and found myself GLOMPED by 3 cats who obviously weren't warm enough in the boiling sunshine pouring through the window. The bed simply isn't big enough for me, a laptop, two cuddly massive cats and Lili who needs to sit ON me but not be restrained.

I can’t make Mere Mortals progress from the point it’s at. I’ve been trying for days. Crispin and Myles are having one of the pivotal conversations and it’s just not working.  So I’m going to look at the final scene and try and write backwards from that point, and see if I can join it up like that… Bizarre.

The neighbours smoke/fire alarm is STILL going off at regular intervals and it’s not helping the headache one bit.  I know it’s hot today, but sheesh – I’d SHUT THE FRONT DOOR just so I wasn’t annoying my next door neighbour, but then, I’m me.  I’m never going to worry about Lili miaowing loudly again.

Finally managed to breed an Alt Green. Hurrah!

Adopt one today! - Adopt one today! - Adopt one today!

That is a great review :) Congratulations!

I'm sure your subconscious is working full time on where to go with Mere Mortals. The solution will probably crop up fully formed some time next week :)

I hope so, and thanks, hun. It's just... wrong at the moment. It needs to go from languid to EEK WE ARE GOING TO DIE, and I've never done that before...:D

Can you do a couple of transition paragraphs, in which you just change the tone of the tranquility from pleasant to sinister? Then it won't come as quite such a switch. Is there nothing they can hear or sense or whatever, that might give them a warning that something bad was about to happen?

Nod nod, that's exactly what's happening now, something horrible just happened to Crispin, and he doesn't really think it happened, and I think it's rather stupid he hasn't accepted it yet, but his head is full of morphine/marijuana, so I'm letting him off, and now something else he's learned has knocked him sideways--so it's getting there, i just need to get them stopping CHATTING and start being Hardy Boys and FINDING OUT.

THEN RUN!!!!!!

:)

Thanks dear!

I do not know what is going on, but I ordered one of your books from Amazon weeks ago, and they say it will be another week before I get it (and two others). I have never had to wait so long for an order.

Our smoke alarm goes off if the wind blows on it. Maybe that is what is happening at your neighbor's place. I sooo sympathize with your headache. I get migraines - yucky.

it's tied in with the electric system apparently, so its not a case of taking out the batteries - it's stopped FINALLY - after five hours on and off, so perhaps they've cut the wires. I would have done.

Perhaps it's sold out massively!!!! *hopes* but i'm sorry it's taking so long to get to you - hope you enjoy it. (which one is it?)
