Which was 23rd September. Bad Erastes

I’m bisexual, and I think I probably always have been, even before I considered the notion. I don't consider the gender of my partners. Usually they are men, because men approach me, but that’s just percentages.  I love people, not gender.  I wish I had something more eloquent and intelligent to say, like all the other people writing on GLAAD – but I don’t. I think it’s as simple as that, for me.

That is all.

I'm pretty much like you. Nice person, plumbing not important.

I think what you wrote is very eloquent, but most importantly straight to the point! <3

Well, crap. I didn't even know we *had* a day. LOL I'm not a very good bi gurl, it would seem. I dunno if gender matters to me or not - I speak in terms of he/she, but ::shrugs:: hotness is hotness, and it's all internal, not external. I knew I was different in elementary school - I didn't understand it as "bisexual" but I always got in trouble for holding hands with girls and such. The story goes that I told my teacher in third grade that I wanted a "matching set of special friends" and when she asked what I meant, I supposedly said "You know - a boy and a girl. One of each!" LOL

I also missed it. I was definitely NOT always bi, at least not in my mind. I have always been very interested in women and not able to see attractiveness in men at all.

Strangely, I have spent the last 13 years with a man, whom I now fancy like mad. But whenever I think "ooh, that's a nice looking bloke" about something on the TV, it invariably means "ooh, that looks like my husband-thing!"

I'm more a sort of accidental un-lesbian.

ROFLMAO@ accidental un-lesbian! That's an absolutely hillarious statement.

(and I sort of know what you mean :)

I sort of look at the whole 'gender' thing as being flavours and decorations. You can have someone who has a girl flavour, but boy decorations, and vice versa... and other combos, obviously.

Some people are picky eaters, others aren't (:

Well, dang!

Then again, I also missed Talk Like A Pirate Day. Which is a damn sight easier to observe... I mean, what am I supposed to do, go out and ogle a pretty guy to balance out being married to a woman?

Ah, well. Happy belated day, all!
