I love my pS3
Sep. 25th, 2009 06:17 pmit gets BBC Iplayer which means I don’t have to sit at the PC to rewatch stuff!
Assassin’s Quest continues to rock my world.
There are beggars who get in your way and are a nuisance if you are trying to follow someone, and there are lunatics who attack you for no reason, often pushing you in the way of someone you don’t want to spot you. The reason I’m doing so well at it—as opposed to my normal “I suck” rating is that the best way to succeed is to simply walk around quietly without disturbing the peace, get your information by eavesdropping and pickpocketing then when you get your assassination target you have to do it public and then leggit to safety.
For anyone as barmy as me who wanted to know how historically accurate it was (the game makers say it was based on historical events) there’s a great article here .
I absolutely loathe The Templars. Just about everyone else is avoidable as long as you are careful, but if you meet any of these guys by accident they attack you immediately. *hate hate hate*
Game Two looks INCREDIBLE - 15th century Italy, Venice and Florence (and probably other places too) I can't WAIT to play that. Unfortunately it won't be for a good while as there's no way on God's Green Earth I'm playing £45 for a video game.
My brain is completely dead, writing-wise. It gets like this from time to time, and what I should have done was to take a break after finishing Mere Mortals instead of signing up to something else. I’ll give it a few more days before I start to worry. I don’t have one word in me, and the novella I’m writing has ground to a halt and I just keep staring at it with no clue at all as to how to make it go forward. Perhaps Guy will whip out his hidden blades and stab Louis through the heart. Nod nod. That’d work. Wouldn’t be a happy ending though.

Maybe you should take that break now for a few days.
