This made me weep, and I concur with markprobst's comments.

I have little doubt that Lt. Daniel Choi and Capt. Jim Pietrangelo would agree. How wonderful you can celebrate with an open, military marriage, while we still have to mark our small victories by virtue of valiant soldiers being arrested for chaining themselves to our leader's fence in protest of basic human rights.

The fact he came out to the army first made me smile hugely. Of course the Guards have always had a reputation...But still.
