It's Alive!

The BT Fon thing works. It’s very sporadic, but it means I can connect for a while before it kicks me off (there’s two public signals but both of them are weak, and the closer i sit to the windows the better it is, it’s probably better in the garden!) so research wise that means I can at least get to the internet even if it’s in short bursts. so hurrah. Hurrah!

*note to self*  Do not spend all day doing other stuffs.

Excellent! When I read about it on that website I sent you the link to, I thought, Mmmm... But if it works even some of the time, that's good! (Free, yay!)

But if connection is that sporadic, yes, you'll probably be motivated to use it for research, if you need to, but fun? Bad connections do not make fun.

Well, when the weather gets nice, deckchair, laptop, writing in the garden - priceless!

That doesn't work for me so much, living in the city. I have a garden. I've been known to set up out there with my netbook in the sunshine. Then one of the neighbours will fire up with the hedge trimmer, or the water board will start drilling in the road outside. ::sigh::

Every time you get kicked off consider it BT telling you to get back to working!
