What will they think of next?
Apr. 29th, 2010 06:05 pmWent into a petrol station today where you pressed a button to indicate how much fuel you needed and the petrol pump pumped out exactly that. How convenient! What’s next? A little man there on hand to do it for you?
I love my new phone. It may not actually CALL yet, but I have uploaded some classical music and have been listening to Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto and Requiem while I edit Tributary. That’s exactly the right mood music for that book. so be warned. :)

Date: 2010-04-30 08:01 am (UTC)I don't think i've ever HAD a car with a reliable gauge, even when i fill up, it's a whole section showing as unfilled, so i know i have something in the tank even when I'm officially empty. Never run it so far down to test how much though...

Date: 2010-04-30 05:35 pm (UTC)A few years ago, someone tried to get the law changed and argued that we'd pay less for gas if we had the option of "pump your own" at service stations. Others pointed out that prices for gas are lower in New Jersey than in all neighboring states, places where people did have the option, so that argument fell flat.
