Meet the crew of the good ship Schpittenshöff. Once a Dutch East Indianman, she was taken by pirates off the coast of Madagascar and the present crew now call her something a little different. The Captain, Sir Tarquin de Rummun, is so very very dangerous he doesn't actually need to carry a weapon. Meek, the bosun, isn't and Brazzo, the cabin boy will put a pearl necklace round just about anything for a ryall. Along with the rest of the crew they are the terror of the seas. Watch out or they'll broadside you and criticise the gilding on your gingerbread.

Can you tell I'm glad to see you home? Cuz I am.

Good that you're back! Go on taking it easy; sounds as if perspective and depth might be a problem for a while.

Plain text is easier, but even that - yesterday I had one of those painless migraines where vision gradually goes sparkly all over until I can't see a thing, and as always it took me a while to realise it wasn't just a too-bright light on a suddenly too-white page. Grr. Slept it off.

I recommend sleeping, preferably with cats.
