No, Rozlyn Press – I won’t be submitting to you, and I won’t be recommending anyone else to do so, either. Who CHARGES writers to submit their manuscripts???

Thanks to Henri for pointing this article out about the new Potter film. As she rightly says – villains definitely have the best clothes.

And I found this caption amusing on the last picture:

A trailer from the film shows an argument between Harry and Ron which ends physically.

You know – I’m pretty sure I’ve read that story. Lots of times. *snort * He also argues with Draco. A Lot.

Wait...what? Maybe they're hoping to cut down on the number of submissions....

LOL - yes, that'll be it. I'm going to report it to the Powers That Be. Sadly some poor souls are going to be suckered in.

Posted the info on them at Absolute Write. Gave you the credit that's due for the heads up.

I think fees for contests are a crock. Fees to submit? I put all publishers require reading fees in my file that says 'submit here when the hot place freezes right over.'

I object to fees for contests, definitely - but at least they are legal. Becuase if you broadcast to 50 million telling them to enter for one pound then you are going to make a fortune and so similarly writing contests work - WHERE IS THE PROFIT GOING. i will not do.

Reading fees just bug the heck out of me. I've seen some 'contest' entry fees as high as $100 which is totally nuts, but newbie authors fall for them all the time.

Clicked the eggs by the way.

God - I thought that trick had gone with the wind, disgusting to see it still around.

I like how the main site says 'by popular demand, we now accept electronic submissions'. I bet no one 'demanded' that they be forced to pay for the privilege. A lot of presses accept electronic submissions... it's called email, and it costs no one a penny to do so. *rolls eyes*
