I went to meet asphodelineand johnrwtoday. We met for lunch in Horning which is a beautiful (and tourist stuffed, even in this weather) Broadside village.

It’s very odd meeting LJ friends, specially ones you’ve known for so many years. I’ve known Asphodeline since before she met John, I think—way way way back in darkest fandom country, and when I meet someone like this, it’s like I’m not meeting strangers, even though we’ve never met, and rarely even seen photos of each other, it’s just like meeting someone you’ve only seen the day before. We had a lovely lunch which they kindly treated me to, they put up with my impressions of Coffin Henry, and we talked about everything from Light Speed to Galaxy Quest to anachronisms to genetics to Linux to bees! They also donated a pot of home made honey which I’m SO looking forward to trying I can’t say, it’s beautiful and liquid and amazing. Honey is magical, imho.
