Lili Update – gooder news

I’m probably like the annoying games mistress who’s always telling you to BUCK UP and stop feeling sorry for yourself…But Lili – the only other time she’s been this poorly, does tend to do dying duck. Last time she collapsed on the bed on her side and wouldn’t move, i had to drip water into her mouth.

However, this time she simply hunched up all day today, but went out, so I assume she went to the loo – I made sure she had a couple of drinks, which is always reassuring, if they aren’t eating. Then I used my secret weapon – BUTTER!! smeared it on her face as she refused to lick it “ew poison, get away from me” and put some on her front paws – so she had to wash it all off. I hoped that would get her saliva going and it seems to have worked as when I went into the spare room with a packet of Felix she got up and yowled. I complain about her chattiness, but GOD I miss it when she goes quiet. So I gave her a very little – about three teaspoons, if that – then she had a drink and has gone back to sleep.

so I’m hoping she’ll be back to her normal irritating self tomorrow, bellowing and bossing me around and I’m going to love it. Fingers crossed.

Sounds like a positive improvement. Keep us posted. We cat persons have to stick together, because we're the only people that 'get it' when it comes to the little purring beasts.

she isn't eating anything this morning, although she's clearly hungry - i'll have to get some different food and see ifthat makes a difference.

Cats...

Ya can't live without them, and you can't eat the little buggers. I nearly murdered mine yesterday because they got bored and were knocking things over, clawing the furniture and being general PITA kitties.
