Adopt one today! - Adopt one today!

ok – so she’s had another injection, and once again, she had a mouthful or two when she got home, but it’s obviously causing her discomfort as she digests it. However, she’s developed a taste for whiskas treat biscuits so he had about six of those. We’ll see how she goes. I’ll get some blood work done on Thursday if she’s not much better and see if there’s something sinister going on. I apologise for the wail of despair earlier. Those who know me well know how rare I do that kind of thing in public. I’ve had a bad week.

I also went to the hospital for my start of warfarin. I was supposed to start it tonight but I want to have a drink tonight, so i’ll start them tomorrow. Looks like I’ll have to be a moderate drinker from now on. Good Lord. Is that possible?

No writing today, for obvious reasons.

she's not right, but she's kept her dinner down. I'll have to fork out for an xray, I think.

Thinking both of kitty and of you. Pet medical issues can be even more distressing than our own sometimes.

Six Whiskas treat biscuits sounds good. I'm glad you've calmed down a bit now, but there's no need to apologise for wailing. I'm sure all of us who've had sick pets have been there before.

I hope Lili is better in the morning.

She kept her breakfast down, and she's had a very small dinner which she's also kept down so far, so fingers crossed - thank you!

I didn't realize that about the warfarin, but then I don't drink, because of the diabetes. I hope taking it goes as smoothly for you as it has for me. If you find yourself having to take antibiotics, for some reason, it kicks the warfarin level WAY up. That's a side effect I wasn't warned about. My PT - INR jumped up to 9(!!!!!).

I'm holding strong positive thoughts for your kitty, and for you.

You're a good mommy.

"Binge drinking is dangerous with Warfarin" it says in very big letters. I do tend to have a drink filled evening once a week, and it's more than two 125ml glasses... It's the only vice/pleasure I have left, so I feel a bit squashed.

I gave Lili a very small dinner and so far it's stayed down, so fingers crossed. I think there is something wrong, so she'll have to have an xray I think. Thanks dear!

There are so many things I can't do, or partake of, anymore that I think I can identify well with your squashedness. :(

I'm glad she's doing better, but it sounds like you deserve that drink! I hope she continues to improve and that the warfarin does good things for you.

I'm terrified to take it, to be honest, the warnings are all so dire, I wonder what's worse, the ailment or the cure.

she's kept her dinner down so far - although she was baffled as to why i only gave her a tiny amount.

Can you just stop taking it if the side effects are bad?

What a trying week! I understand the panic; I'd have it, too. I sure hope your cat improves. It is very hard when our fur balls aren't well, on so many levels.

Poor Lili, I hope it's just a blip and nothing serious. When Basil had weird digestion issues I got cheap, frozen white fish and just cooked a fillet for him with a tiny bit of milk to cool it down - it worked pretty well and isn't too rich, especially if you avoid the milk which isn't great for cats.

We send licks and purrs xx

Trouble is that she simply won't look at "people food" - if it doesn't come out of a tin, she doesn't want to know. She's had two or three teaspoons of Supermeat tonight, because I could mash it up into a pate and she looked for more, but I didn't give in, she can have some more later if she wants it, but she's gone to sleep, and she kept it down, which is the most important thing.

thanks dear - I may ask how much x-rays are, so I can be pre-armed, because I'd be happier if I knew what was there, or if there was nothing.
