i WISH I could blog more about the WIP. I am quite sure that the readers who have come to my blog didn’t do so to hear about how many birds I have on the bird table, or what I made Dad for lunch.

But I was thinking about this yesterday, that in this case in particular, the one I’m writing right now (I Knew Him) I can’t really blog about it at all. I can’t talk about the characters because that will spoil, I can’t blog about the main character in particular, I can’t blog about the plot…And it’s ANNOYING because, frankly, I’d like to talk about it. AND I CAN’T SAY WHY.

“Day off” today, and I need to do 1700 words yet to make my 5k target for the week, as I had a bad day one day in the week, and this is a day when I should be at Dad’s but had to change at the last minute. I must try and get the file open at least, then, and not constantly refreshing my browser like a saddo.

Same with my NaNo novel. All I can say is that there are zombies in it, and that it's an urban fantasy. Beyond that, well, I'm not saying.

Thank you, dear. It's hard to do via email - but it's much appreciated. Perhaps when you have time you could have a look at it and tell me if it's boring? That's what's worrying me at the moment. Everyone's busy that's the problem and I never really like to ask.

I have given hints about my stories but it has annoyed me that I can't give too much away. When writing fan-fic years ago, this wasn't obvious at all. Write, post, comments fly in. Now when I'm keeping it all to myself I'm doubting everything I write and eventually I have come to somewhat of a halt and am wondering whether I'm writing only for myself. :/

Anywhore, I've noticed that birdies and food feature in your daily writings which pleases me no end. :)

Friending an author's blog is frequently a fangirl impulse but it's the personality of the author that keeps me reading and commenting.

Can't you discuss your plot with your inner-circle? There must be some of them who don't mind being spoiled.

I get so frustrated by not being being able to talk about my characters. Especially now outside fanfiction. No one cares. *whimper*

I will eventually have to shut up about what's happening in my new story, but fortunately the biggest issues I'm worrying about with each of the main characters are related to non-spoilery character aspects.

You are lucky - I think part of it is my own loathing of any kind of spoilers, and I assume that people are the same - I get annoyed even when somemone tells me the new name of a character in a series I'm reading and I don't discover it myself.
