Does anyone have any recommendations for good and not too scholarly e.g. accessible if possible—books on the Blitz?  Preferably with lots of photos.

I'm not a baby, but photos do help when researching a book.  any websites would be gratefully received too, may thanks in advance!

I should give you my mum's address. She was living in the East End through the worst of it.

Have you tried the bbc history archives for photos?

Also, you may be able to access the national film archive. Not sure if you have to register. We use it at school when doing evacuees:

That's a shame. It was pointed out to us as a resource but maybe it's free for educational establishments.

I did have another good link with personal testamonials from folks who went through it but can't remember it ATM. I thought it was a C4 project.
