Books! Yum!

erastesI think one of the nicest things you could buy me is a book, a book I haven't read. There's something wonderful that a friend says "I love this, and I want to share it with you, because you mean a lot to me."
I've been known many many times to give books from my own shelves as presents, because it's intimate and personal. Probably the recipient thinks "bloody cheapskate"!!! :)

gehayi which was Legends II and Legends 3, with short stories by Pratchett and Le Guin and GRRM - I'm hoovering them up like a mad thing. I LOVE NEW BOOKS!
Also, it's a great way to sample the writing of new (to me) writers and will let me know if I want to read more of them. I'm already in love with Lord John Grey by Diana Galbaldon, I so wanted him to SNOG Stephan in Lord John and the Succubus, the UST was wonderful, all the same.
In writing news, I've had a worrying bunny thats been bashing me on the head for days about writing something about Jean-Baptiste Tavernier and the Hope Diamond... I wonder if I can make that at ALL slashy?
