So I hear that Lucius Jason Isaacs has been reading fanfic. It's a long and hollow hope but I'd love if he'd read some of mine. I hope I gave him good instruction on what to do with brandy and ice cubes.

Also I see that he IS wearing leather in OotP. It was hard to tell in the trailer. But *wibbles* Leather robes? Horribly hot. Rather chafing and terribly impractical for a huge battle in a dungeon but methinks that the Director knows EXACTLY what demographic fan base Mr Isaacs appeals to. And it certainly isn't Da Kiddies.

I am assuming that the Ministry Battle will be altered - and I hope it is. Having a bunch of Scoobies beat a bunch of adults is all very well on the page, using Jelly Legs curses against murdering savages like Walden - but on screen it would just be converted into slapstick, and if there's one thing that the Battle at the Ministry should be it's not funny. It has light moments, such as the brain part, but a lot of it is just unbelievable. I hope that the director gets the OotP involved very early on, to be honest. In fact that's probably about the worst part of the book, for me. It's very muddly and a good example of how not to write a complicated fight scene. I'm not even going to go into how POINTLESS the entire prophecy plot was.

Torchwood was a mite dissapointing. Still a good episode, but I didn't enjoy it as much - probably because it was lacking in the Jackness. Or the Ianto-ness but there was a lovely moment when Ianto was just so vulnerable I wanted to squeeze him. But next week's looks like it ROCKS.

Junction X is moving along. There is angst (at last) some very unsuitable drooling and there will be a lot of guilt for quite a while. heh heh. I love torturing my characters. Who needs whips when you can use much more vicious tools?

which tools? I'm curios... you can tell us? ciao, elisa

Oh just internal tools, like guilt, fear, despair, angst, denial, lust....

Oh, I see. So you are not so "bad"; I like angst and lust (in romance the first), not very much fear and despair. And for guilt and denial, I don't know... I prefer not to make things I cat regret later, but if I made it, I prefer to try to adjust, not deny. ciao, elisa

The first thing I thought when I read that was 'I wonder if he's a fan of Underlucius?'*G* I didn't notice the leather robes - must go and watch the trailer again. The bits they've filmed in the Department of Mysteries look a lot better than what I imagined them as, so I'm hopeful. It's the climax of the movie, they can't mess it up with Jelly Legs and Tarantellegra.

Well the trailer doesn't make the leather clear, I was just hoping but I found out it's TRUE!!

I would die a happy writer if I knew that he'd read just ONE story... *sigh*

How could he resist? :) You know this is going to lead to a massive upsurge in Lucius slash being posted on lj over the next few weeks, don't you?

I squeed so much over the leather! And about Jason Isaacs reading fanfic. *g*

The Death Eaters' incompetence hadn't bugged me the two or three times I'd read OotP. But that was before I found fandom, when the books were still just an entertaining read and not an obsession. *g* I have a feeling my reaction to the Ministry battle won't be the same if I reread it now.

It's always bugged me. I suppose that's because I was reading it from Lucius' pov, rather then the pesky kids. I mean .... great huge menacing vicious bastards who wouldn't think twice about torturing people to death - for fun!!!! being beaten by hexes they must have learned themselves when they were eleven or twelve....

Just beggars belief. I wouldn't mind so much if she had given some explanation - like... all magic spells have the same power (which we know they obviously don't) or that magic drains so the kids managed to slip past their re-charging... but nope. Nothing. Jelly legs vs Crucio. works every time.

Yes, and I just thought of something else. In HBP Snape deflects Harry's spells with ridiculous ease. Okay, I could accept that Snape might be a better wizard than the other Death Eaters, but SO much better? Something's not quite right there, is it?

Absolutely. He makes the others look completely incompetent, and seems to be as powerful as VM.

I hope he reads your's... Mine I think might scare him. OH, that is to wicked. I wonder if he likes what he reads? I know if I had a story/movie/whatever I'd check for Fan fiction. IN fact I'd be very happy if there was some.

Leather robes? Okay, cold shower time. Thank you, thank you for the image that has rooted itself in my mind.

OH! I wanted to ask you where I can buy your book?

Jason Isaacs is going to wear leather?

OMG. I can't wait to see that!

I agree with you about the battle (and the lame prophecy).

Lucius and company: we're evil and have vast experience. Bwa-ha-ha!

Harry: your shoes are untied.

Lucius and company: oh, are they? We better take care of that then.

Ugh.

Lucius and company: We're here to get the prophecy that has shaped your life and the Dark Lord's, Potter. And we have to get it, because it's the only copy there is.

Prophecy: *breaks into a million pieces*

Bellatrix: I am so screwed.

OotP Dumbledore: Don't worry about the broken prophecy, Harry. I kept a spare in my Pensieve.

Harry: *is shocked*

HP Fans: *had figured out what the prophecy was when Harry was 11*

HBP Dumbledore: Oh, Harry, remember that prophecy? Well, it's completely meaningless!

Harry and HP fans: Say WHAT?

HBP Dumbledore: Prophecies only have the power that we give them. Arthur Weasley got poisoned and Broderick Bode got strangled and Sirius died for absolutely no reason at all!

Harry: *argues a little*

HP Fans: Wait a second, so the central premise of the series--that Harry's the Chosen One--just got tossed out the window?

HBP Dumbledore: Of course, Voldie believes implicitly in the prophecy, which means that he thinks that it has immense power, which means that it DOES and that the prophecy actually COULD result in your death...uh, forget I said anything...

HP fans: Not a chance. *busily try to fanwank DD's speech so that the prophecy business still makes sense*
