Got no writing done, and there's no excuse for that.

Standish is holding its own on Amazon as far as I can see. For some peculiarly English reason it's been classified as "Gay History" (giggles) rather than Gay Literature or Fiction or Erotica, and is number 26 on that bestsellers list, *falls off chair laughing*  I'm an historian!!!

It's hovering on the number 10 on the Japanese bestsellers (Gay) and even appears on the German and American bestsellers for gay books.  I have no clue what this translates into regarding sales, I can only imagine that it's not a great amount, and that even one copy can make a big difference in the sales positions.

But still, it's exciting, if rather anal, to check the positions.  This "first time" will never happen to me again.  Even if my dearest wish comes true and I ever earn enough to give up work, this newness will never happen to me again, so I'm going to savour every single moment, and not be ashamed of my excitement.

New Torchwood tonight. Yum.

Great result for your first novel! I hope for you that in some years yuo will be a full time writer and hit the top of the list many times, but you are right, you will never forget your "first time". ciao, elisa
