ITV starts a series to try and rival Dr Who/Torchwood this weekend. Primeval, where something has ripped a hole in space and time - and a team of young yuppies are all that stands between the earth and destruction.

I'll give it a go!  Would be nice if there were TWO good sci-fi's on, but it'll never be as good (erastes says, loyally)

Also - Life in Mars returns soon!  Squee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing much else to report.  I've been editing Transgressions.  Have applied to an agent, who say that they should reply either way within a week, so I'll be over here, biting my nails.

How is everyone else?  I've been reading my flist, but haven't had time to comment much.

It just took me TWO HOURS to read through and first-pass-polish a short story of less than 5,000 words. o.O Normally I can do it in about an hour, sometimes less. Bloody LJ and bloody internet and their distraction-y ways. But I have read it through and now it is ready to send to my beta, so I do feel that I've achieved something. And my flatmate is cooking dinner, and it smells good.

Pointing out... Hollyoaks. On Sunday. With coverage of the gay-kissage at ten am, and adverts, and big, big advertising on the 'your gay friend converted my boyfriend' plotline. Not... that I watch Hollyoaks. But still.

Cold. It's 33 degrees and dropping. But I got 650 words on 10 before I had to go pick up the dog and am now going to get it up to 1k.

I'll have to see about downloading the new show from UK Telly, see how it is! Thanks for the heads up on that.

You are missing a treat with Torchwood, believe me. Barrowman is gay sex on legs, there's more man kissage on prime time tv than you can shake a stick at. Which makes my slashy heart happy.

Do these ever make it over the pond? If it was BBC, I'd just look for it a year or two down the road on BBC/America, but I don't know if ITV does anything like that. Maybe the Sci-Fi Channel?
