Feb. 12th, 2007 04:31 pmI'm writing something quite insane that will never sell as a short story, but I'm writing it for an anthology call, anyway. It's Gay Regency Romance, written (as far my lesser ability can manage it) in Austenese. (but without the laughs). I think it will be 1. Too long and 2. rejected instantly by the anthology but perhaps one day it will sprout into a novel or something.
Talking of laughs, I watched:
1. The Day After Tomorrow, and have a question. IF the tsunami (which then froze ) that hit New York was coming up to at least floor 20 of the buildings, how is it that the refugees in the New York Library were not drowned? I admit I wasn't really paying full attention...
2. Documentary on Spamalot. I hope it comes to Norwich. I'm really tempted to go to London to see it, to be honest. It looks brilliant. "This is a song that goes like this!" I hadn't actually ever read anything about it, so I had no idea what it was about, and it looks deliciously silly. Which is just the sort of thing I like.
I was disgusted with myself and spent the weekend sitting in front of the lap top doing absolutely NOTHING, chatting, eating, watching TV and playing the most STUPID and ultimately addictive game called Bear Pairs (and yes, Brits, it IS from "Smile" the children's TV programme. My highest score is 700. I DARE you lot to do better.
I was supposed to go to Cafe Writer's tonight, but I'm cold I don't think I will. *chicken*
And if he's NOT dead. There will be major trouble.
