HELP.

I've got a guestspot on Lust Bites in March and Tilly has asked me for a picture which perhaps sums up the genre. There aren't a lot of gay regency men snogging pictures, SADLY.

A long while back - I could have sworn it was <lj user="lizardspots"> - but she doesn't think it was her... - an artist did a painting of two men in period costume sitting one in front of each other on a chair or a bench and were ripping off each other's cravats. I can't find this picture.

Does anyone know of it? Or failing that, does ANYONE know of any lovely pictures (or photos) or men in period costume snogging? or groping? or ANYTHING?

*DESPERATE* I can't reply to comments at works as normal, but I will tonight, with smooches.

Can't say I know any artists who do pictures of men snogging in authentic looking 19th century costumes... If there are such, I would like to hear about it, too! Of course there are a lot of fashion plates with guys walking arms linked, but those are probably not what you are looking for...

it's an amazing lack, isn't it? I know that I for one would pay more than i could afford to buy a picture of such...

There was a gay kiss in the Libertine, apparently, but they cut it - as far as I know it's not even on the DVD

I've found a few nice piccies, two from Maurice and one from Edward II (play) so you'll have to tune in for my article to see 'em.

Wasn't there a play a couple of years back based on "Mother Clapp's Molly House?" If you could find any old promo photos that might work.
