The new Robin Hood is DIRE. Dire dire dire dire dire. I was expecting it to be pretty naff, but it is truly dreadful. They've spent about six quid on the sets and two quid on the costumes.
Robin looks like some bloke you see picking rubbish off the side of the road, wearing an orange waistcoat and is the least hot Robin bar none. This includes Costner.
The script? OMG the script. so very very very bad. And Marion was in full thick make-up.
Gisborne is rather gorgeous though, he sounds like Sean Bean and is dark and brooding. But not worth watching any more of it, thank you very much. I'm just pleased I don't know enough about the period to hate the inconsistencies I'm sure are there.
The Michael Praed version was a billion times better. Hell, Richard Greene's version was better. even Costner was better!!
Shame on you BBC. After Rome and Dr Who I expected something special. This Robin Hoodie is just AWFUL.
Then there was several hours of ballet. Will Kemp! *squee* I bet
dubaiyan is watching it.
In half an hour First KnightETA: A Knight's Tale is on. I've never seen it before, so am looking forward to that.
