I've got a guest blog on Romancing the Blog. Waffling on (not for terribly long) about gay historical Romance, so please come on over, and read and comment! I didn't know they'd accepted my submission so it's a nice Sunday surprise for me.

Dear Lili,

The sun is shining does NOT equate to "It's time to get up"

I do not appreciate being bullied and yeowled at for a couple of hours and then coming downstairs to find that it's 10 past 7.

no love.

Mother.

Dear Hideo Kojima.

Having Snake body search a baddie and say "By the way, nice package"?

I adore you. But you knew that.

Hello there! I read your guest blog over on Romancing the Blog and thought it to be an interesting discussion. There needs to be more gay relationships in romantic fiction.

Thank you! And how nice of you to come over here. There's a lot of gay romance writers on my flist if you are interested.

It's a bit of a quiet discussion, but I'm hoping it might hot up later.

Thanks again!

I could go and do another rant about gay men's voice being appropriated by straight writers, etc. etc., but I don't suppose that's the kind of 'hot' you had in mind.

I find it offensive and intrusive that:

1. You only bother to comment on my posts with incendiary comments like this.

2. You assume that everyone is straight.

You bring nothing new to the table, but say the same bloody thing over and over and again.

I still find it baffling why you find it peculiar that writers are ABLE to write in voices other than their own - this has been done as long as writers have been around. Do I complain when male writers "appropriate" a woman's voice when they write a book from a female point of view?

Pah.

I'm not going there again. You've had three strikes. It's clear to me that you troll my LJ (and read not just the main post but also the comments therein) purely to drop in snide little messages like this. I have no idea WHY you find my LJ so fascinating, but if I offend your delicate sensibilities so very much, I think you will be happier when you aren't allowed on it.
