Well, I thoroughly enjoyed it.  I wasn't entirely expecting to, thinking it would be too childish or just too soppy for me, but I shouldn't have been disappointed, I don't think Pixar have disappointed me yet.  It was completely absorbing and as usual, the animation was so incredible I forgot I was watching an animation completely.  It even got me a little (just a little) choked up, at the end. There were some very funny parts and some really clever parts too.

HOWEVER. The star of the show for me was "Presto" - the short which is now tradition before any Pixar main feature which had me crying with laughter and was (as always with these) just too short. Rather the point, I suppose. But hilarious, and the rabbit (who I think was called Alec) was adorable.  Sneak Peek snippet.

The magician and the bunny was my favorite part of the entire film! I LOVED that bunny! It was hysterical!

Utterly brilliant. The facial expressions, the cleverness of the gags. If there's one thing wrong with what they do, is that they do it too quick. The old style cartoons with the same wit - Road Runner, and classic Fred Quimby tom and jerry were slower and you could see the action. But then - i guess it encourages people to get the DVDs, i certainly will.

I agree. :) Glad you enjoyed it. :)

(And I want whatever the Pixar talent has in their drinking water).

Hell. I want to work for them. Even if its just making the tea.

Or Ben and Jerry. You can take your pet to work with you....

Pixar announced their newest movie at Comic Con and showed the trailer. It is called Up.

Basically it is about an old man (voiced by Ed Asner) who is a widower and instead of being placed in a retirement home ties a billion balloons to his house to go South America, he promised his wife they would go and never did.

It turns out a boy scout was accidentally in his home before it floated away.

Pixar, can't fault them for not being original.

I loved Presto and Wall E. The rogue robots were wonderful as were the fat humans. :)

Oh, yes, that rabbit stole the show!

But I liked Wall-E, too.

Wall E reminds me of Short Circuit. No 5 is alive! I remember crying at that too. I'm such a sop.

That was the only drawback for me, that he was modelled on Johnny 5, butI suppose it was a good design!
