Book Crossing
Jul. 12th, 2006 07:43 amI'm sure you've all heard of it, but for those who haven't www.bookcrossing.com
The idea is simple. Take a book you don't want and don't mind passing on - or a much loved book that you'd like others to read and "release it" into the wild for others. You give it a number (from the site) and track its progress across the world.
I'm not being very nice to BC today. I'm releasing "Da Vinci Code" and the book I've just bought, "Wraeththu"
I'll be so squeeful if someone finds them though. Just got to find somewhere safe to leave them.

Date: 2006-07-15 11:10 pm (UTC)Any excuse to make an icon ^_^ I remember trying to get into the Wraeththu books. I think it was the double 'thth' that bugged me the most.
(And feel free to like/not like the icons, you aren't under obligation! On the other hand, if you want something changed, feel free to let me know: I work at the client's request, heh.)
