noir i get, but I can't equate it to rock and roll. Unless it's Jailhouse Rock which is the only rock and roll enduring image I can think of in black and white.
In the dark, slightly bitter rock n' roll scenes. Where it isn't all peaches and cream. Where drugs are not "cool", just needed, and nobody really laughs anymore. Rather grim.
