flotsam and jetsam
Jan. 10th, 2009 02:04 pmAnd I learned the difference between those yesterday. *loves Q.I. with a passion*
The best English tea post I've seen on my flist- and believe me, many of my flisters are tea-aholics. This is just how tea needs to be treated. Yay, Orwell!
I'm very chuffed that Amos Lassen (yes yes, I know you've probably never heard of him, but he's a serial reviewer on Amazon) really loved Frost Fair and says he'll be checking out my other books! He calls it a "great read."
Weather is foul. This hoar frost which doesn't look it will be going away all day, freezing fog and dense grey cloud. No snow though.
I shall be tucking myself under a blanket this afternoon though, and enjoying series four of Angel! Finally! The TV in the UK stopped showing the show after series 3 for some reason, about six years ago or so and I've been stuck at the end of series 3 since then. I've been wading through the DVD's to rewatch everything up to now, and today series 4 disc 1 was delivered. I can't wait! Something new to watch - unexplored territory!
Book (Mere Mortals) is moving along. Saying nothing more right now in case I jinx it, but I'm on chapter two and i'm just beginning to enjoy myself. :)

Date: 2009-01-11 06:12 pm (UTC)Yes! God, I love hot, tortured Wesley. Love him. I mean, I love Wesley more than I probably should love a fictional person anyway (even now that it's been almost 5 years since the show ended) but he's particularly hot in S4.
I really liked Spin the Bottle. Angel being all scared and confused, Fred being a conspiracy minded stoner, and Wesley being a giant doofus. Even Cordelia was absolutely pitch-perfect. I think it was more effective than BtVS's Tabula Rasa. And I about died when Angel cheered on "the slave".
