And I learned the difference between those yesterday. *loves Q.I. with a passion*

The best English tea post I've seen on my flist- and believe me, many of my flisters are tea-aholics. This is just how tea needs to be treated. Yay, Orwell!

I'm very chuffed that Amos Lassen (yes yes, I know you've probably never heard of him, but he's a serial reviewer on Amazon) really loved Frost Fair and says he'll be checking out my other books! He calls it a "great read."

Weather is foul. This hoar frost which doesn't look it will be going away all day, freezing fog and dense grey cloud. No snow though.

I shall be tucking myself under a blanket this afternoon though, and enjoying series four of Angel!  Finally!  The TV in the UK stopped showing the show after series 3 for some reason, about six years ago or so and I've been stuck at the end of series 3 since then. I've been wading through the DVD's to rewatch everything up to now, and today series 4 disc 1 was delivered.  I can't wait!  Something new to watch - unexplored territory!

Book (Mere Mortals) is moving along. Saying nothing more right now in case I jinx it, but I'm on chapter two and i'm just beginning to enjoy myself. :)

"If you fear a dystopian future, you want a black tea, not a green one."

HA! Funny 'cause it's true!

Yep, black tea helps you be braver so you can defend society when the zombies come! :-D

Flotsam and Jetsam....ohohoh I know the difference too! They're the two bad guys in The Little Mermaid. Flotsam has a glowing left eye and Jetsam has the glowing right eye.

\o/ Mere Mortals>>> I wonder if the 'mortals' shall be influenced by Angel? Would that make them immortal? LOL *perfect iconage*

I do get tempted from time to time to kick over the traces and have vampires swoop in or zombies lurching... :)

I wish I could send you some of this snow over there. This storm is nuts and looks to be on for the rest of the day and night..snow, snow and more snow. No plows have gone down Perkinswood yet and Matthew said driving to the store was not fun. :)

Yay on the review though!

It's so not fair. I was looking at the world webcams and it seemed it was snowing everywhere north of Virginia. Grrrr!

I love Angel with all my heart...and season four is my absolute favorite season. I can't imagine how much it must suck to be stuck at the end of S3 for six years! I literally can't imagine a worst cliffhanger to be stuck at.

I feel strangely excited for you, like I'm getting the chance to see S4 all over again for the first time.

I was mildly disappointed he didn't stay submerged for a bit longer, but yay! for being out and yay! for hot, tortured Wesley! Not terribly impressed with yet another memory loss although I had to die laughing at Fred (super intelligent) who said "I think you might have amnesia"

Can't wait for the next disc!

Yes! God, I love hot, tortured Wesley. Love him. I mean, I love Wesley more than I probably should love a fictional person anyway (even now that it's been almost 5 years since the show ended) but he's particularly hot in S4.

I really liked Spin the Bottle. Angel being all scared and confused, Fred being a conspiracy minded stoner, and Wesley being a giant doofus. Even Cordelia was absolutely pitch-perfect. I think it was more effective than BtVS's Tabula Rasa. And I about died when Angel cheered on "the slave".

Thank you for the tea link! I found the interpolations quite amusing and the bit about tea was not bad either. I thought I'll share something I'd posted some months ago: how to make chai (http://oddnari.livejournal.com/144370.html) ie, (Indian) masala-tea.

Angel is my favourite series but have to say S4 overall is my least favourite season, though it has many good points, for reasons I can't go into for spoilers. Enjoy!

oh - icon! fanning self...

Thank you - not VERY impressed with it so far, as memory loss plots seem so done to death, but still nice to see what happens next at long last.

I run across Amos Lassen reviews all the time. We must have similar tastes.

I would love some snow- when you wake to snow it always feels snug and warm and magical, but when you wake to frost it is like waking to death itself and gets inside your bones.
